Establishment:
The National Water Equipment Manufacturing Company Ltd. was established in implementation of Republican Decree 1155 in 1992, which stipulated merging the two national bodies for urban and rural water into a unified body called the National Water Authority, concerned with studies and planning for the drinking water sector, establishing state bodies to operate, maintain and manage drinking water facilities in each state, and establish three federal national companies in which the states and the sector participate The private company works on commercial basis to implement development projects and develop the water equipment industry
In the year 1998, the company was transformed into a public joint stock company based on the recommendation of the Supreme Committee for the disposal of public sector facilities and institutions and with the approval of the Ministry of Finance and National Economy, in order for its establishment to comply with what was stipulated in Resolution 1155 above Al-Zakar
After the secession of southern Sudan and the dissolution of the Public Authority for Water, its shares were redistributed as follows:
- Ministry of Finance and Economy 59%
- States 16%
- 25% of the shares are reserved for offering in the financial markets
Mission
The company is well aware of its national role and its effective and positive contribution to national projects in everything related to water and strives to provide solutions that will address the problems that result from water shortage, and its contribution is clearly visible, whether in urban or rural areas.
The company's fields of work:
Establishing factories specialized in producing water industry requirements
Developing and expanding existing manufacturing processes in quantity and quality
Working in the manufacture and trade of water supplies to import equipment, tools, construction materials and spare parts
- Design, manufacture, construction and installation of water tanks, integrated water purification plants, metal structures, construction of workshops, warehouses, hangars, silos, civil contracting work, and drinking water supply and distribution networks in urban and rural areas.
Carrying out workshop services for heavy and light maintenance of wells, rigs and water equipment
Work in all branches of industrial, real estate and agricultural investment
Entering into any agreements with institutions and companies in the field of their work to transfer technology and obtain the right to local manufacture of equipment and tools
Dealing with financing institutions to attract capital
Carrying out any work or actions that the company deems necessary or appropriate, or which would achieve all or part of the objectives
